Software Innovators is often asked how The Tech was named. As a consultant pharmacist, one of the developers noticed the amount of time spent obtaining numerical data on drug utilization, documentation, and psychoactive medications. A proposal was made to her company to hire a pharmacy technician to relieve some of the workload. Since hiring a technician was not in the budget, she looked at different ways to save time. This is how The Tech begin, the reliability of a good technician without the added personnel or vacation requests.
